PP板材是一種半結晶性材料。它比PE要更堅硬并且有更高的熔點。由于均聚物型的PP溫度高于0℃以上時非常脆，因此許多商業的PP材料是加入1~4%乙烯的無規則共聚物或更高比率乙烯含量的鉗段式共聚物。共聚物型的PP材料有較低的熱扭曲溫度(100℃)、低透明度、低光澤度、低剛性，但是有更強的抗沖擊強度。PP的流動率MFR范圍在1~40。低MFR的PP材料抗沖擊***性較***但延展強度較低。對于相同MFR的材料，共聚物型的強度比均聚物型的要高。由于結晶，PP的收縮率相當高，一般為1.8~2.5%。并且收縮率的方向均勻性比PE-HD等材料要***得多。加入30%的玻璃添加劑可以使收縮率降到0.7%。均聚物型和共聚物型的PP材料都具有******的抗吸濕性、抗酸堿腐蝕性、抗溶解性。然而，它對芳香烴(如苯)溶劑、氯化烴(四氯化碳)溶劑等沒有抵抗力。PP板材也不像PE板材那樣在高溫下仍具有抗氧化性。

PP sheet is a semi-crystalline material. It is harder and has a higher melting point than PE. Because homopolymer PP is very brittle when its temperature is higher than 0 C, many commercial PP materials are irregular copolymers with 1-4% ethylene or clamp copolymers with higher ethylene content. Copolymer PP has lower thermal distortion temperature (100 C), low transparency, low gloss and low rigidity, but has stronger impact strength. The MFR of PP ranges from 1 to 40. Low MFR P P material has better impact resistance but lower ductility. For the same MFR material, the strength of copolymer type is higher than that of homopolymer type. Due to crystallization, the shrinkage of PP is quite high, generally 1.8-2.5%. And the directional uniformity of shrinkage is much better than PE-HD and other materials. The shrinkage can be reduced to 0.7% by adding 30% glass additive. Homopolymer and copolymer PP materials have excellent hygroscopicity, acid-base corrosion resistance and solubility resistance. However, it has no resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons (such as benzene) and chlorinated hydrocarbons (carbon tetrachloride) solvents. PP sheet is not as antioxidant as PE sheet at high temperature.
